4.3.25 - Do you trust him or not?
Good morning ,
These past few weeks have shown me a lot of not so good things. I don't know if you have heard the phrase "things will get worse before they get better" but that's a pretty good description of how things have been.
I've been asking the Lord to restore a few things in my life. Yesterday my friend pointed out I don't need restoration. I need a rebuild. Things that were not built with God as the center need to be rebuilt, not restored.
That was eye opening to me because I never thought of that.
2023 and 2024 were transformative years for me. I learned to trust God instead of myself and the circumstances around me. I learned to pray and seek wisdom, rather than try to do everything on my own.
This year I've learned to be honest with myself, and have more open, honest and direct conversations with others. I've learned to be super honest with God. I don't know about you but it's hard to be honest with yourself, because sometimes it involves accepting hard truths about things. It can be hard to be honest with others because you don't want to hurt them or cause a barrier. It was hard to be honest with God because I thought I was disappointing God again. It's all been very hard, but worth it!
What I've learned on this faith journey is I don't have to do it by myself. I don't have to have the answers. I don't have to know when or what or why me? I just have to trust that God does not fail. I'm trusting in his word and his will. I'm trusting that he got David out of some crazy dark times and he can do the same for me. I'm trusting that I can trust God above everything because I can trust his goodness.
I don't know what 2025 has looked like for you. It's been really hard for me, but I've also experienced so much goodness.
I encourage you to go all in this year on trusting God. Our faith pleases God, and he rewards those he seek him (Hebrews 11:6)
Make up your mind in 2025 that you're trusting God with it all.
