7.3.23 - Talk to God First
Hi ,
A couple weeks ago something occurred that was upsetting regarding my business. I was annoyed and frustrated. I posted a quick story in a Facebook group about what happened in hopes to prevent it from happening to another business owner. Then something else happened and I posted the update to the group.
Before I go on I want to be honest with you. My goal was to post what happened to me to help others, but I also wanted to vent. I was low key mad about what happened and I wanted to vent.
Have you ever been there? You get mad and you just want someone to know what someone else did to you so they could validate your feelings?
Shortly after I posted the update, it dawned on me I had went about this the wrong way.
Instead of me immediately posting in the group, not once, but twice, I should have told God.
I should have gone to God for wisdom and direction.
So many times I always tell the people close to me what's going on with me (good or bad) and I always tell God last.
Why is that? Maybe it's because I know he always knows? Or maybe it's because sometimes I just want to feel how I want to feel and tell God about it later?
Don't get me wrong. I almost always tell God what's going on, but he is often never the first one to find out (from me).
So I'm challenging myself to tell God first. Tell him the good and the bad. The easy stuff and the stuff that's messy.
I want you to think about this and ask yourself "Am I telling God first or last?"
If you're like me, consider challenging yourself to tell God first. Although we can never surprise God, we may surprise ourselves by making this change.
I appreciate you reading this email and I hope it helps you! If it does, please share this business with someone you know. #helponehelpmany
Love,
Danielle
