10.23.23 - Thinking ahead
Good morning ,
This past weekend I was invited to be a vendor at the Domestic Violence Rally in St Louis, MO. I will be sending you a separate email later this week about that experience :) It was amazing!!!
Today I want to encourage you to think ahead. Not just about your personal ideas and goals, but think about your position in helping God's kingdom. What is God asking you to do that you haven't made time for or that you have been running away from? Or maybe you just haven't asked him. It's okay to ask if you don't know. Be intentional and be diligent in seeking God for answers.
This past weekend I was reminded of how God can use you do to his work, you just have to be willing.
I want to share some things I am planning and have thought about for the rest of 2023.
1. One of the things I do is donate 10% of NC4Y's profits to Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation. I will be sending them a donation this week of $1,292 to help women and children affected by domestic violence. I just want to thank you for supporting this company and allowing NC4Y to give back to a cause so close to my heart. Everyone knows someone affected by domestic violence. It's something that isn't talked about enough and many people are losing their lives because there aren't enough resources for them to get safe and stay safe.
2. I met an amazing survivor this weekend and her story gave me the idea that I want to start donating skin care products to a safe house. These women leave with nothing and have little money and resources. If I can bless them with some skin care, I know it will help in some way to restore their confidence and give them some self care. I will be working with my partner at 2DEF to find a place to support.
3. Last December I hosted a $2 raffle and we gave away a body butter box. I only planned to raise $100 but ya'll helped to surpass that. $226 was raised and every dollar was donated. I plan to host a bigger raffle this year. More details to come!
4. I plan to continue to send out these weekly morning inspos. Every time I send one I get at least one email back that helps me feel less crazy about sending you an email that has nothing to do with a skin care tip or product promotion. This year has taught me that this business is truly more skin care and I've found comfort in that.
5. Previously our mission was stated "spread God's goodness through our natural skin care" . While all that is true, while I was driving this weekend the mission expanded (expand is my word for the year) and became more clear. I wanted to share it with you. "Through our natural skincare products, our mission is to spread the goodness of God by sharing our personal testimony, offering support to women & children impacted by domestic violence and economic challenges, and empowering our customers to be all that God has created them to be."
I appreciate you being a part of my community. It's always more than skin care :)
If this email has helped you please share it with someone you know.
Love,
Danielle
