4.10.24 - God’s plan > My plan
Good morning ,
I want to remind you this morning that God has a plan for your life and it's far greater than any plan you conceive on your own. As we go through life we start to make plans about what we will do, where we will go, who we will include, etc. But are we asking God "What is your plan for me?" For the majority of my life I would just make plans on my own. There was no prayer about it. If I thought about it, I did it. When I first started seeking a relationship with Jesus back in 2016, I would share my plans and expect them to happen how I planned it out. That's what I thought prayer was. I told God what I wanted, and then it should happen.
I just want to take a moment to thank God for his patience and grace for me.
I remember in 2017, when I was in a custody battle, I started praying for the first time for God's will to be done. I knew that God knew what was best for my daughter better than I did, and I knew he would help me through whatever decision was made. While the decision was hard to accept, I knew it was best. Since 2017, there have been many hard prayers for God's will to be done. Let's be honest. It's not always easy to give up what you want, and rely on God for His plan. His plan typically involves something we don't want to do, but it's for our own good.
Fast forward to April 2024.
The other day I was talking to my daughter and teaching her that when she prays to pray for God's Will because His plan for us is far greater than anything we could imagine. It was a great reminder to me to continue to pray for God's will and I wanted to share it with you. There is always so much to pray about, but remember to pray for God's will. His plan will always surpass our plan.
I appreciate you being a part of my community. It's always more than skin care :)
