4.25.24 - 1000 chances
Good morning ,
Yesterday was a rough start to the day. For the most part homeschooling has been going much better than expected but yesterday tested me!!! But then it got better and turned out to be a great day. THANK GOD!
At the end of yesterday, I was tucking my daughter in and she made a comment about the possibility of not getting to go to heaven because of her behavior (from earlier that morning). I could see her brain working through our conversation. She said "but what if I keep messing up?"
The conversation was a reminder to me of the many chances God has given me, and I still need more, daily. It brought me to think about all the times I've messed up and felt unworthy. I used to wonder, "What would God want with someone like me? How could he use someone as damaged as I am? How could he change my heart?"
Well much to my surprise, he can and he did. As I look back over my life it's been amazing to see my relationship with God grow. You see it's one thing to believe in God and know he sent Jesus to die for our sins, but what life are we living to show other's that God is center of our life? It's not easy to say no to certain things, or keep quiet when someone tries to blast you. I just told my daughter yesterday "we are called to follow Jesus, not follow the trends of the world."
I am currently reading in Revelations and in Revelations 3:15, Jesus was speaking to the church in Laodicea and says, "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!"
Jesus doesn't want us to live a warm life. He wants us to choose life everlasting. Not only for us, but also to share the good news with others.
What do people walk away with after they speak with you? What are people reading when they scroll through your social media posts? What are they seeing when you go out in the community?
I just want to remind you that no matter where you are God sees you, he loves you and he forgives you. He doesn't cap us on chances. He continues show us grace and mercy when we fall down. We don't deserve another chance but he gives it to us anyway and for that I'm grateful.
I appreciate you being a part of my community. It's always more than skin care :)
If this email has helped you please share it with someone you know.
Love,
Danielle
