9.5.23 - Life has been lifeING

Hi ,

I hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend. It was the last weekend for our neighborhood pool to be opened so we were there quite a bit. It was great to spend time with family and enjoy some sun. Anyways, I hope you did something good for yourself, whether it was being outdoors, hanging with family or just simply resting.

If life for you has been anything like life for me, life has been lifeING. I just told my husband yesterday that it seems like everything just keeps happening all the time. Something new every day.

This has been a good year, but it's been unexpected. And unexpected in a way that is uncomfortable.

Earlier this year my husband ended his almost 8.5 year position as a financial advisor for a well known company. This was abrupt, but I knew God was calling him to greater things despite the shocking news. I immediately started panicking about finances. After a few months I noticed our finances hadn't skipped a beat. God is constantly reminding me that he is my source, nothing else.

Again, this has been a good year but it's been so unexpected. I had high hopes this year with business. God gave me a word for 2023 and although it didn't have anything to do with seeing in increase in sales I just sort of expected it. I can be honest with you right?

My word is EXPANSION. I thought God meant expand my reach, increase my views, provide an increase in sales. Some of this has happened to some extent but not as I hoped if I am being completely honest. So what did God mean when he said EXPANSION. I'm still not exactly sure but I can tell you what has expanded. My vision, my ideas, my new products (coming soon), my faith, my desire to seek him, my peace, my understanding of myself, my time in prayer etc.

A few weeks ago, my position with said company my husband was at ended abruptly. This time I didn't panick. This year I have found peace. A peace that only comes from God. That doesn't mean I don't stress or get upset. It means I have peace in knowing that God is in control and I can trust him. I have peace when the AC goes out when it's 100 degrees outside and the company says it will be 10k to replace it. I have peace when business is slow. I have peace when the kids aren't listening. I have peace when I get a call from the principal's office on the 6th day of school. I have peace when people take advantage of me.

My hope for you is that when life is lifeING (because it will) what do you do? Do you have any peace in the midst of chaos or bad news? O are you trying to juggle everything on your own?

My AC is just fine. We haven't had to replace it yet. Business is picking up. The kids still aren't listening lol but it's getting a little better. The principal hasn't called me again, praise the Lord. I prayed for the person who took advantage of me. That's something I never do so that was a huge a step!

I want to remind you that none of us are exempt from Life. It's going to happen to us, but it's what we do when life happens that matters.

Go to God. Be prayerful. Be consistent. Pray with expectation. Rely on Him as your source. That's what God is teaching me through all this lifeING and I wanted to share it with you!

I appreciate you being a part of my community. It's always more than skin care :)
