11.26.24 - run to god
Good morning ,
Black Friday is starting tomorrow so I wanted to send out the morning inspo ahead of time. I know you are getting hundreds of emails about the BF sales so I hope it doesn't get overlooked.
I don't know how many times I've said this in 2024, but I'll say it again, "It's been a hard year." I know many people can relate - whether it's been bills, bad news or running so much your exhausted - it hasn't been the year you thought it would be.
I wrote this in my Christian Facebook Group yesterday and I wanted to share it with you:
This has been one of the hardest years of my life. But somehow I can say I’ve never trusted the Lord as much as I have this year.
The testimony on the other side of 2024 will help thousands. Don’t underestimate what God can do in a storm, through a storm and after the storm.
Whatever you are facing - RUN TO GOD. Don’t run to a friend, run to the one who created you.
One thing the world is missing is hope. And you may be missing it too but I pray this email reminds you of the hope we have in Jesus. "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." – Isaiah 40:31
Think about your testimony. It may help one person, but you never know, it could help thousands. Don't underestimate the Lord. Remember the woman at the well in John Chapter 4. She ran back to town and told everyone about Jesus. Then in John 4: 39-42 we see that many believed, not because of what she said, because they saw for themselves.
39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41 And because of his words many more became believers. 42 They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”
I don't know the exact number of many but I looked up some other places in the Bible that use the word many and it sounds like a whole lot!
Genesis 17:4 talks about Abraham being the father of many nations.
Numbers 20:15 talks about how the Israelites went down to Egypt and lived there many years. (over 400 years)
Judges 7:2 talks about how God told Gideon he had too many men. (22,000 men left, and 10,000 remained)
When I looked up the word on blueletterbible.org it says the word many is found 518 times in the NIV version.
For the sake of time, I just typed the first few that stood out to me. Our testimony doesn't save. Instead, it sparks an interest for someone to learn more about Jesus. What if your testimony could save many?
Whatever you are facing in your storm, run to God. Stop calling your mom or your sister or your best friend. Stop walking around and talking to yourself in your mind (talking to myself). Run to the Lord and ask him to help you overcome the storm and be ready to share the testimony on the other side.
I appreciate you being a part of my community. It's always more than skin care :)
If this email has helped you please share it with someone you know.
Love,
Danielle
