1.29.25 - rooted in truth

Good morning ,

I've shared with you a book I'm reading called, The Bait of Satan, about living free from the trap of offense. A dear customer of mine kindly reached out and shared her concern about the author and his teachings. As I read her email I understood her concern. I have enjoyed reading the book, but the book is not the Bible. There are plenty references to scripture and it's helped me think deeper about the trap of offense and recognize how easily I fall into it. With that being said there have been a few things in the book that I have not agreed with. I want to point out that it is our responsibility to read the Bible for ourselves and ask the Holy Spirit to help us interpret it. We cannot solely rely on pastors, Christian authors, bible study teachers, or our favorite Tik Tokers/YouTubers to teach us the Bible.

It is our responsibility to pursue the truth for ourselves. The more we study God's word on our own, the more we can recognize truth and it becomes easier to identify when things don't completely align with scripture. The more we study, the more we grow in our understanding of God's word and it becomes rather easy to discern what is true.

What am I saying? We should not believe everything we read or hear but check it out in the Bible and see what God says.

Resources are wonderful and they are a great blessing to us, however nothing compares to the Word of God.

I never want anyone to rely on me to know the truth. I want everyone who hears my message to go check it against the Word of God so that you can know truth for yourself.

I cannot express enough how much reading the Bible for myself how transformed my life, and I want that so badly for everyone else. Christians have become so reliant on everyone else, instead of searching the scriptures day by day to ensure they know the truth.

I hope this message is received with love and it encourages you to prioritize spending alone time in God's word every day!

I appreciate you being a part of my community. It's always more than skin care :)

If this email has helped you please share it with someone you know.

Love,
Danielle
