2.6.24 - What a blessing

Good morning ,

Yesterday was such a blessing. Almost every day when I pray I ask God to bless me and allow me to be a blessing to someone else.

Yesterday I called one of my new wholesale customers on the phone and it just made her day. I could see her smiling over the phone. She was so thankful for the call and was amazed that I actually took time to speak with her.

I was smiling so big because I love hearing the excitement when they realize I care about their business enough to call them.

So we get to talking and she goes on to share her testimony with me. In 2017 or 2018 (I can't remember exactly) her daughter, age 18, was in a terrible car accident. She was left dead on the side of the road and after over an hour of having no heartbeat, she came back to life. The doctors kept saying there was nothing they could do, but she had a word from God that her daughter would live. She kept insisting that the doctors try this and that and after several months her daughter was able to go home.

During her time at the hospital, psychiatrists were sent in to talk with her because they thought she was crazy for believing her daughter would survive. After the 4th doctor came in the Holy Spirit gave her a word of knowledge about the doctor. The doctor ran out of the room and wrote a report stating she was completely fine and just had a strong faith. She essentially told the doctor she needed to write a letter to the man that hurt her and forgive him. The doctor knew there was no way for her to know that without God telling her. Crazy that she mentioned that because I've been needing to write a letter of my own. The little reminders God sends me continue to show me his grace and love for me.

As I was listening to her I was reminded of how life has a way of shaking you up. The key to life is having a relationship with Jesus. This woman had been through so much but she had so much joy and peace. Although her daughter is a quadriplegic, she believes that God is going to allow her to walk and speak again. Every day she is seeing new milestones with her daughter. I don't know about you but I desire that level of faith. She had so much joy and conviction in her voice. I don't know if you have ever talked to someone who is going through it and still finds a reason to smile, but that is a joy that only comes from God. When you have that kind of joy your attitude is not affected by your circumstances. She made the comment "My source is God." When your source is God, you know you already have the victory no matter what things look like on the outside.

Towards the end of the conversation I shared with her my bible verse I learned last week - Mark 11:24 "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for it prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." What a blessing it has been to learn scripture and be able to share it with others. She texted me later that night and asked me to send her the verse so she could read it. It reminded me how important it is for me to continue memorizing a new verse every week. You never know when you or someone else may need a word of encouragement.

I hope this story is a reminder to share what God is doing in your life. She didn't have to tell me her testimony, but she did. And it blessed me so much that I needed to share it with you. That's how testimony works. God gives it to you to share to help others.

I appreciate you being a part of my community. It's always more than skin care :)

If this email has helped you please share it with someone you know.

Love,
Danielle
