5.29.24 - Driving me crazy

Good morning ,

It's driving me crazy that everyone is in a rush. I've been almost hit 4 times recently. 

Over the weekend I was leaving my neighborhood. I had just started driving and this silver SUV sped towards me and almost hit me. It was scary because of how fast it happened. He went down the cul de sac and turned around and passed me, almost hitting me again. I was appalled. There are plenty of kids in my neighborhood outside playing and we have a maniac behind the wheel. 

The next day I was out walking and was almost hit by these little kids driving their 4 wheelers on the side walk. 

A few days later I was taking my daughter to her therapy appointment and we were almost hit on the highway by a guy passing us on the shoulder. 

I've had enough. We are all trying to get to our destination, but some people don't care about how it happens or what happens in between. It's honestly really sad. 

It brings me to think about my own journey and how sometimes I can be in such a rush for the next chapter.

Last week I was feeling super discouraged. Who are we kidding, all month I've been feeling discouraged!

But this week, I've had an overwhelming sense of peace that God is with me. My pastor said in last Sunday's service, "Don't let the opposition distract you from your vision."

I've had an opportunity to slow down and think. I've been able to recommit myself to some things and realize that some things no longer need my attention. 

While none of this has felt good, I continue to remember the vision God gave me.

I want to remind you that even though the enemy comes and tries to throw you off course, you have the victory. 

I appreciate you being a part of my community. It's always more than skin care :)
