5.23.24 - Seek first the kingdom

Good morning ,

I want to send you a loving reminder to seek first the kingdom. Life can get busy. Life can get stressful. Life can drag you down and make you feel lost and unworthy. 

As a Christian we don't have to live life alone. We don't have to go day to day worrying and complaining about everything that is going wrong. 

In Matthew 6:33 Jesus says, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you."

I don't know about you but those red letters where Jesus is speaking mean something. He is specifically telling us to not worry. He is saying if we seek the kingdom everything we need will be given to us.

Whatever you are trying to accomplish seek the kingdom.

It's not easy because the enemy is so good at distracting us, but give it your best effort. It makes a huge difference in how we approach challenges, anxiety and sadness. 

Matthew 6:33 is the verse I'm mediating on this week. It stuck out because there is no way we can lose if we are seeking first the kingdom. If we are seeking God's will and living according to his word, we cannot lose. That doesn’t mean that things won’t go wrong, it simply means we can overcome.
