8.1.24 - From pain to purpose
Good morning ,
In 2016 I left an abusive relationship. After 3 years of literal chaos I finally left for good. It's something I'm extremely grateful to be able to say because many women and children can never leave or even worse, don't survive.
This past weekend I attended a Gala for raising money to support ending domestic violence. I knew about the Gala because it was hosted by a non profit that my small business sponsors throughout the year. I was unable to attend last year so this year I was very excited to attend and be a part of such a great cause.
As I was there I was reflecting on how great our God is. He can take a tragedy that I experienced and bring light from it. If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would start a skin care company and that skin care company would contribute to changing lives of victims of domestic violence I would have told you it COULD'NT be me. But it IS me. And I give God all the glory. When I started this company I had no idea that this would be possible, but God did. God knows all and we must trust him with everything we have, in times of overflow and in times of pain and worry.
We all experience painful things in life. What I've learned is God can use pain to fuel something good. We don't have to stay stuck in pain or anger or embarrassment or worry, or any other emotion that keeps us from pushing forward. We have a heavenly Father who is willing and able to use anything and everything for good. We just have to be willing to say "hey God, I need you and I'm ready for what you have in store for me."
I can see God moving every day in my life. I'm not sure exactly where I'm going or how long it will be before I know, but I know God's plan is THE plan I want for my life. I hope that for you as well.
I appreciate you being a part of my community. It's always more than skin care :)
